VivoLink USB 3.0 A naar bus verlengkabel PROKEYUSB3AFM1W, 1 m, wit

The VivoLink USB 3.0 A-to-Female Extension Cable PROKEYUSB3AFM1W is a 1 m white extension designed to lengthen USB connections while maintaining USB 3.0 transfer performance. The cable provides a female A receptacle that makes it easier to reach recessed or hard-to-access ports and to connect peripherals such as external drives, flash sticks, keyboards and mice. Its construction supports high-speed data transfer and a standardized USB A interface for broad compatibility with host devices and accessories.

Advantages

This 1-meter extension preserves USB 3.0 data rates and backward compatibility with USB 2.0/1.1 devices, offering a simple way to relocate or extend an existing USB-A connection without moving the source device. The white jacket and compact connector housings provide a discreet, clean appearance suitable for office or home environments. The female A receptacle reduces strain on built-in ports by creating an accessible connection point.

Suitable for

• Extending the reach of USB-A ports on laptops, desktops and TVs
• Connecting flash drives, external HDD/SSD enclosures and card readers
• Providing easier access to rear or recessed USB ports
• Temporary or semi-permanent setups for peripherals such as keyboards, mice and game controllers

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB 3.0 Type A male to USB 3.0 Type A female
• Length: 1 meter
• Color: white
• Data transfer: USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1)
• Shielding: braided/foil shielding for signal integrity (construction suitable for typical desktop and portable use)
• Compatibility: works with devices using standard USB-A interfaces such as computers, hubs, peripherals and media players

How to use

Plug the USB 3.0 Type A male connector into the host device or existing cable, then insert the peripheral's USB-A plug into the female A receptacle. Ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain data transfer performance. For best results, avoid tight bends near the connector ends and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference. No driver installation is required for standard USB use on modern operating systems.

Recommendations

Use the extension to reduce wear on device ports by leaving the extension connected as a sacrificial interface. For sustained high-speed transfers, keep cable length minimal and avoid routing near power transformers or unshielded power cables. Replace the cable if connectors become loose or shielding is visibly damaged.
