Wentronic Goobay ultra-flexibele CAT 8.1 slim S/FTP patchkabel, zwart, 0,25 m, 40 Gbps, extra korte snagless RJ45 74355

In a dense server rack or behind a wall-mounted TV, every millimetre counts. This ultra-flexible CAT 8.1 patch cable from Wentronic Goobay lets you make that tight bend without kinking, thanks to its slim 4.8 mm diameter and extra-short snagless connectors. The black PVC jacket blends into professional AV and IT setups, while the 0.25 m length keeps cable clutter to a minimum.

Why choose it

The ultra-flexible slim design makes routing effortless in cramped spaces, while the extra-short snagless boot protects the locking tab during frequent plugging and unplugging. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity over time, and the S/FTP shielding minimises alien crosstalk in high-density installations. With 40 Gbps throughput, you are ready for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T networks without replacing the cable later.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting servers to top-of-rack switches in data centres
• Linking NAS devices or workstations to 10G/25G/40G network cards
• Patch panel to switch connections in structured cabling
• Short runs behind desks, media cabinets, or wall plates
• High-speed backbone links for small office or home lab setups

Good to know

This cable is backward compatible with all lower Ethernet categories, so it works seamlessly with existing Gigabit and 10-Gigabit equipment. The 30 AWG conductors keep the cable light and flexible, but for very long runs (over 30 m), consider a thicker gauge. The PVC jacket is durable for indoor use; avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. The extra-short boot reduces the overall connector length, making it easier to fit into recessed ports or tight patch panels.
