Netwerkkabel Goobay 95897 bruin 5m Cat6 U/UTP

The Goobay 95897 Brown 5m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is a 5-metre Ethernet cable designed for reliable data transmission at Cat6 performance levels. It features RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to ensure stable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The cable uses U/UTP shielding (unshielded twisted pairs inside an overall unshielded jacket) and is finished in a brown sheath that blends into interior installations or behind furniture.

Advantages

This Cat6 U/UTP cable provides high-speed signal transmission suitable for gigabit networks and low-latency applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors reduce contact resistance for consistent throughput. The cable construction combines quality inner conductors and a robust outer sheath for long-term mechanical stability. Its flat profile makes it convenient for routing behind skirting boards, under carpets or along baseboards without creating noticeable bulges.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections in home and small office networks
• Connecting routers, switches, modems, desktop PCs and smart TVs
• Discrete cable routing behind furniture, skirting boards or under carpets
• Applications requiring Cat6 performance for gigabit data transfer

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 5 metres
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded overall, twisted pairs unshielded)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Outer colour: brown
• Profile: flat cable suitable for shallow routing

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (router, switch or modem) and the other plug to the target device such as a PC, NAS or smart TV. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Lay the flat cable along skirting boards, under carpets or behind furniture as required, avoiding sharp bends or tension. For best results, keep the cable clear of high-voltage power lines and large electrical equipment to minimize potential interference.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within standard indoor temperature ranges and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. When planning installations that require multiple cables, maintain separation from power cables and avoid tight bundling to preserve signal integrity. Test connections after installation to confirm gigabit link speeds where required.
