Connector S/CONN HDMI/DVI-D (24+1) zwart SI-77401

The Connector S/CONN HDMI/DVI-D (24+1) Black SI-77401 is a compact adapter that links a male HDMI source to a female DVI‑D display. It is designed for signal conversion between HDMI and single‑link DVI‑D interfaces, and features gold‑plated contacts to improve conductivity and reduce corrosion. The black finish provides a neutral appearance suitable for professional AV racks, workstations, and home setups where a stable digital video connection is required.

Advantages

This adapter offers simple physical conversion between HDMI and DVI‑D without active electronics, ensuring native digital video transmission when both devices support the same signal format. Gold‑plated contacts minimize signal loss and maintain a consistent connection over repeated insertions. Its small footprint makes it easy to integrate behind monitors or inside equipment cabinets where space is limited.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer or media player with HDMI output to a monitor or projector with DVI‑D input
• Temporary or permanent AV installations requiring HDMI-to-DVI conversion
• Workstations, conference rooms, and retail displays using DVI‑D displays with HDMI sources

Key specifications

• Connector type (input): HDMI male
• Connector type (output): DVI‑D female (24+1, single‑link compatible)
• Contact plating: gold‑plated contacts
• Colour: black
• Function: passive digital video adapter (no active signal conversion or scaling)

How to use

Insert the HDMI male end of the adapter into the HDMI output of your source device, then connect the DVI‑D cable from the display to the DVI‑D female port on the adapter. Ensure both devices are powered off when making connections to avoid hot‑plug issues, then power them on and select the appropriate input on the display. Because the adapter is passive, video resolution and compatibility depend on the native capabilities of the connected source and display.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in setups where only digital video (no audio over DVI) is required; DVI‑D does not carry audio signals. For longer cable runs or when signal integrity is critical, use high‑quality DVI or HDMI cables and keep cable lengths within recommended limits to avoid degradation. Inspect gold contacts occasionally and keep connectors clean for reliable performance.
