Vivolink PROUSB3AAF50 USB-kabel USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) 50 m USB A zwart

The Vivolink PROUSB3AAF50 is a 50 m optical-fiber USB cable that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbit/s) while maintaining backward compatibility with USB 2.0. With gold-plated USB-A connectors and a fibre-based construction, this cable is designed for reliable long-distance signal transmission between USB-A devices where conventional copper cables may not reach.

Advantages

This USB 3.2 Gen 1 fibre cable provides stable high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s and full support for USB 2.0 devices. The gold-plated USB-A connectors improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. Optical-fibre construction reduces signal loss over long runs, making the cable suitable for extended-distance connections up to 50 m while keeping a compact, lightweight form factor.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-A peripherals over long distances (up to 50 m)
• Applications requiring low signal attenuation and minimal interference
• Setups where standard copper USB cables are too short or suffer performance loss

How to use

Connect one USB-A end to the host device and the other USB-A end to the peripheral. Ensure both devices are powered on and that any required drivers are installed on the host. Because USB 3.x remains an open standard and some devices or hosts may not accept fibre extension, perform a connection and functionality test before permanent installation. Avoid sharp bends in the cable and secure it along its route to prevent mechanical stress on connectors.

Recommendations

Test the specific host and peripheral combination over the cable prior to deployment to confirm full USB 3.2 Gen 1 functionality. For installations, keep bend radius within vendor guidance and protect connectors from dust and moisture when not in use.
