Netwerkkabel Goobay 95495 magenta 2 m Cat6 S/FTP

The Goobay 95495 Magenta 2 m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable provides a 2-metre connection designed for gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed network applications. Constructed to Cat6 specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable supports stable data transfer up to 1000 Mbit/s while reducing electromagnetic interference. The magenta jacket offers a distinct visual identifier for organized cabling in home or office setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to limit crosstalk and external interference, which helps maintain signal integrity over short runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact reliability and resist corrosion. A robust outer sheath and quality inner conductors ensure mechanical durability and consistent performance during regular use and installation.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home or small office networks
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices and desktop computers
• Patch cabling in structured cabling panels and wall outlets
• Environments where color-coded cabling simplifies network management

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 metres
• Performance category: Cat6 (suitable for up to 250 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold plating for improved contact
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (gigabit Ethernet)
• Outer jacket colour: magenta for easy identification

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your source device (router, switch or modem) and the other connector into the target device (PC, NAS or access point). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. For patch panel or wall outlet installations, route the cable without tight bends and avoid running parallel to power cables to reduce potential interference. Trim excess cable length or use cable management accessories to maintain a tidy installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium-length runs within buildings and avoid prolonged exposure to mechanical stress, sharp bends or temperatures outside the specified operating range of your network equipment. Colour-coded cables help simplify troubleshooting and network changes.
