ACT grijs 7 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel snagless met RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Grey 7m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline, 7-metre network patch cord designed for data center and structured cabling applications. With U/FTP shielding and LSZH jacket, this CAT6A cable supports high-speed data transmission while minimizing electromagnetic interference. The cable uses snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and a reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) compared with standard CAT6A patch cords, which helps improve airflow in server racks and network cabinets.

Advantages

The slimline design reduces cable bulk and allows for a smaller bending radius, improving cable management and airflow in dense installations. U/FTP shielding provides protection against crosstalk and external interference. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure reliable mating and corrosion resistance for consistent network performance.

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network device or patch panel and the other RJ45 end to the corresponding switch, server or outlet. Route the cable through rack or cabinet pathways, taking advantage of its smaller diameter to maintain neat cable bundles and improve airflow. Avoid exceeding the recommended bend radius for best signal integrity, and ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks.

Recommendations

For Power over Ethernet (PoE) installations, limit bundling to a maximum of 24 slimline cables as advised by ACT to avoid excessive temperature rise. Note that very thin conductors (e.g., 32 AWG) increase attenuation at higher frequencies; follow system design allowances and ANSI TSB-184-A guidance to keep temperature rise within acceptable limits (less than 15°C above ambient for the center cable in a bundle).
