IP-beveiligingscamera Instar IN-9420 2K+ (14092) 2560x1440 pixel PTZ LAN WLAN PoE

Instar IN-9420 2K+ is an IP security camera offering 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with motorised pan and tilt control. The camera supports LAN, WLAN and Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling flexible installation options and centralised power/data delivery. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the IN-9420 2K+ provides high-resolution video suitable for monitoring entrances, yards, commercial premises and shared spaces where remote positioning and clear image detail are required.

Advantages

The camera combines high-definition 2K+ imaging with PTZ functionality to capture wide areas and zoom into details while maintaining network-based recording and live streaming. Dual connectivity via wired LAN and wireless WLAN plus PoE support simplifies deployments in locations with diverse cabling constraints. The unit is compatible with common network recording setups and offers remote control of viewing angle and zoom to adjust surveillance coverage without physical repositioning.

Suitable for

• Monitoring residential entrances, driveways and gardens
• Surveillance of small commercial premises, storefronts and offices
• Common areas in apartment buildings and gated communities
• Locations requiring remote pan/tilt control to track movement

When it may not be suitable

This camera may not be the best choice where ultra-long-range optical zoom or very high frame-rate recording is required for specialised industrial inspection. Environments lacking reliable network infrastructure or power options may limit the benefits of LAN/WLAN and PoE connectivity.

Key specifications

• Image resolution: 2560 x 1440 pixels (2K+)
• Pan/tilt: motorised PTZ for remote horizontal and vertical adjustment
• Network: wired Ethernet and Wi‑Fi (WLAN) connectivity
• Power: supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and local power options
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations

How to use

Install the camera in a location with a clear view of the monitored area and secure mounting for stable operation. Connect the camera to your network via Ethernet cable or configure Wi‑Fi during initial setup. If PoE is available, a single Ethernet cable can supply both power and data. Use the camera’s web interface or mobile app to perform initial configuration: set network credentials, adjust pan/tilt limits, configure recording schedules and define motion-detection zones. Test remote control and image quality, and integrate with your network video recorder or cloud service if required.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify availability of network connectivity (Ethernet or Wi‑Fi) at the intended mounting location
• Confirm whether PoE is preferred or a local power outlet will be used
• Assess required field of view and whether PTZ range and optical characteristics meet surveillance needs
• Check compatibility with existing network video recorders or monitoring software

Recommendations

For reliable performance, mount the camera at a stable height with minimal obstructions, use PoE where possible to simplify cabling, and configure regular firmware updates and secure network credentials. Adjust motion-detection sensitivity and recording schedules to balance storage use and event capture.
